TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Together, Barb and Kerrie have over 57 years of teaching experience. Barb, who recently retired, taught Kindergarten to grade four as well as Learning Assistance. Kerrie, who currently teaches grade one, has also taught grades two and three.

Barb received her Bachelor of Education from The University of Saskatchewan, while Kerrie's BEd is from the University of British Columbia. Barb and Kerrie worked collaboratively while completing their graduate diplomas in Literacy and Leadership from Simon Fraser University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Barb and Kerrie are passionate about encouraging family involvement in literacy. The parent newsletters in their store were created as a way to help parents gain understanding of how they can best support their children as emergent readers and writers.
