TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a Bilingual Teacher for 20 years in different districts in the State of Texas. I retired from my Bilingual Teacher Position in June, 2014. During the past six years, I was with Fort Bend Independent School District at Armstrong Elementary. I was a Third Grade Bilingual Teacher and right from the beginning, my students did well. Throughout those six years, I worked hard to make sure my students scored on the top 90% of the Standard Test (STAAR Test in Texas) and we did. They were awesome students and I drilled them hard. It means a lot to them to succeed and I made sure I used every tool available to me to help them be successful.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in learning about the students ability to read and comprehend through testing and then focusing on those areas the student is struggling during small group intervention. I also believe that everyone learns at their own pace. I keep a very close relationship with the parents.
