TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught middle school and high school but my current specialty is working with at-risk teens, from 16-18 years old, to prepare them for passing the high school equivalency test, or TASC.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I rely on differentiated instruction, as I work with a wide variety of students, some of whom read/write on a 2nd grade level and others who perform on a 12th grade level. I've found interactive notebooks to be especially useful, but I also rely on PowerPoints, daily writing activities, group work and YouTube to make my classroom fun, enjoyable and a place where all ability levels can learn and engage.
