TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my fourth year of teaching. I began teaching as a 2015 corps member in Mississippi, where I taught 7th grade reading for two years. I now teach for a small private school in Memphis, where I wear many hats. I have taught history and English to grades 7-12, and this year, I am teaching a self-contained 7th and 8th grade combined class. I cover their English, History, Reading, and Science subjects.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy combining short lecturing with group activities, project-based learning, student choice activities, and lots and lots of writing!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was the Rookie of the Year in my school in 2016. In the summer of 2017, I was selected to attend the Native 360 Institute at the National Museum of the American Indian.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
