I was an elementary teacher for 14 years. I have taught Kindergarten - 3rd grade. I've had experience teaching all subjects, as well as team teaching and co-teaching. I have recently been given the opportunity to leave the classroom and focus on my family. I LOVED teaching and truly enjoying making things for the classroom!
My teaching style is very hands-on. I love having the students work in cooperative groups and partners. I enjoy creating new and exciting activities for my students to do in class!
Teacher of the Year Nominee
I have a BS in Elementary Education and my ESOL Endorsement certification.
I love to create things for my classroom, as well as for others. I find creating and crafting to be my stress reliever. I love how excited my students are when they come into class and their eyes light up over an activity that we are working on. I am the parent of 2 active boys who are both on the autism spectrum. One is high functioning and is learning through virtual school, while the other is much lower functioning and is in a self-contained classroom for children on the spectrum.
