My Art Education Philosophy is the foundation for guiding children along their journey of growth and development as highly functional human beings. Every child has the right to a well-rounded, useful, and balanced education. The subject of Art is one of the fundamentals that provides a child with a valuable education. Art production, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics are the core of Art Education. Following the NJCCCS of Visual and Performing Arts and the Child Art Development Stages will instill the Elements of Art and Principles of Design when teaching children. Moreover, an optimum learning environment takes place when this information and knowledge is organized in a way that requires students to involve themselves in the learning process. Therefore, this learning approach requires a teacher to serve more as coach or guide of learning.
