TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught 5 years in Louisiana: 2nd grade (gen ed), K-2nd Autism Self-contained, 3-5th Autism Self-contained. I have also taught at a non-profit inclusion preschool and worked in a behavior clinic while pursuing my BCBA. I am currently an elementary resource (Autism) teacher in Texas. Overall, I am starting my 11th year in the classroom!

MY TEACHING STYLE

For the students I teach, structure is very important. I believe in providing structure throughout the day without encouraging rigidity. My teaching strategies are based on individualization for each student. By providing accommodations and modifications to help each student succeed to the best of their ability I am able to help boost a student's confidence in themselves!
