I have been teaching elementary school for the three years in lovely San Diego. I taught first grade in charter school my first year. Then, I decided to teach in a district setting. I spent my second year teaching P.E. for half of the year and fifth grade for the other half. I got hooked on fifth and since then I have been teaching fifth grade. I love fifth graders and the opportunity to do a job that I love
I believe in building a strong rapport with my students and setting high expectations. I love sharing my love of reading with my students through class discussions and reading journals. I am a history nerd and love sharing my passion for it with my students through storytelling, projects, and reenactments.
