TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm an inner-city public school teacher by choice, where I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most inspiring and courageous students despite adverse living conditions in a low-income community. Each year, my students arrive in my class two grade levels behind their peers in more affluent communities. By the end of the year, over 90% of my students leave me on or above grade-level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My students are taught to be steady, to focus on the fundamentals and to do the small, ordinary things extraordinarily well. They are taught to focus on small wins each day, because small wins day after day snowball into to a big win at the very end.
