TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for three years in vulnerable communities serving predominantly Latino's and Black children (from various places within the African Diaspora). I taught for two years at a public school and currently teach at a charter school. I have always served as the lead teacher in the classroom and a mentor teacher for my grade level. I have experience with co-teaching and working with students with special needs and those who just need a little more love and support in the subject of ELA.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am what many would refer to as a warm strict. I run a tight-ship, I bring the rigor and students are challenged to think critically on a daily basis. I am consistent so students know exactly what to expect and surpass my high expectations. Most importantly, I lead with love. I allow love to guide every decisions I make in the classroom and even those out of the classroom that will effect my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I graduated from Relay Graduate School of Education on the Dean's list meaning I received perfect score's on all classroom observations, excelled in all classes and had all my students make significant growth in reading and writing levels.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Teachers College, Columbia University, 2016 Relay Graduate School of Education, 2014 Villanova University, 2012
