I teach 12th Grade English and co-teach Concurrent Speech at Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond, Oklahoma, and I love it! I have also taught ESL in Japan, and Speech Communications at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
Great teaching is all about student engagement. I do my best to present material in a way that interests students, and gets them to question why things work. Great lessons begin with big questions, and big questions lead to deeper understandings. When students understand the underlying principals they are better equipped to change the world.

I received my Masters in Secondary Education at Harding University, in December of 2012. My Bachelors degree was in Oral Communications and Theatre, which I also received from Harding University.
I live with my family in Oklahoma City, but we have been privileged to have lived and traveled all around the world. I grew up in an Air Force family stationed in Europe, and taught English in Japan for 2 years. In my free time I read, write, play my guitar, and wrestle with my son.
