I graduated from The Royal Northern College of Music many, many, MANY years ago. When I was a second year music student, a young boy asked me, quite out of the blue, if I would teach him to play the trumpet. Now this would have been fine if I was a trumpet major, but I was trombone major. What I knew about trumpets you could write on a stamp! But hey, I was a student, I needed money, I knew more about trumpets than the boy did, and so we agreed on an extremely low price, that even the boy could afford. Little did we know at the time that this boy was forging a future career for me. I wish I could remember his name. Of course, the Royal Northern College of Music provided me with the theoretical knowledge of how to teach music, but I learned so much more from the practical experience of teaching trumpet to this boy. From this single experience, so many years ago, I learned that I love to teach. 30 years later, I am still a music teacher.
I love getting inside my student's heads! The better I can do that, the better I become at teaching.

Though my teaching background is in music, I LOVE creating fun things on the computer! I am English by birth, but I have lived in the US for the past 18 years. My American husband Michael, is also a musician and music teacher. We have a 9 year old daughter, Anna, who loves to draw. When I told her I needed a logo for my new TpT store, she said, "I'll draw it mommy". So she did!
