I have been teaching Spanish for 14 years. I have taught grades 6-12, including basic introduction to Spanish, as well as AP college level courses.
I am deeply committed to the belief that I teach students first and content second. George Washington Carver said that "Education is understanding relationships." With this in mind, I strive to connect with each of my students individually to create a positive learning community in our classroom. We enjoy a variety of communicative activities in Spanish that promote cultural awareness, build confidence and intrinsic motivation. In our classroom, you might observe us singing, dancing, acting out a skit, taking virtual field trips, making a delicious recipe, creating art, you name it! You will definitely witness us learning, bonding and having fun!
