MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors in Business and Elementary Education. I originally went to college for business in marketing, part way through I felt the tug at my heart that maybe I would like to teach. I had a lot of people mentioning hey you would be a great teacher and I thought maybe but decided it would be best to finish my Business degree, since I was almost finished. After graduation I moved to Florida and after a couple of years felt God tugging on my heart again in regards to teaching. I did some research and teachers were very much needed so I was able to get a temporary license to teach while I worked on getting my degree. I substituted first to find which grade I preferred and fell in love with Elementary. I started out as a second grade teacher and after two weeks not enough students were enrolled and they needed another kindergarten teacher. I truly fell in love with kindergarten and taught it for four years before moving to first grade my last year. I found after teaching first grade I loved it too and found it less tiring as I had two little ones at home at the time. My husband and I felt the call of The Lord leading me to stay at home with our children full-time. We followed His call and after a couple of years He laid homeschooling on my heart. I have been homeschooling our children ever since and feel very blessed for God giving me the opportunity to homeschool. It is the best choice for our family and our children. I am able to continue to do what I love and still share my ideas and creations with others.
