TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a nanny for many years before making the transition to teaching. Because of that experience with little ones, my classroom is bright and busy! I also work at a science museum as an instructor. That work has made me a power curriculum writer and has helped me become totally comfortable with chaos!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a student-centered approach to teaching. My students learn through group work and scaffolded lessons. Passion Project is my favorite part of the day. If it were up to me, I would teach everything through passion projects. I have used that to kick off persuasive writing, talk about tech safety and introduce self and peer evaluations.
