TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am delighted for this to be my 15th year teaching in education and consider it a blessing to be part of this amazing profession! Over the years I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade and have found that these grade-levels are my some of my favorites! In addition to teaching in the classroom, I have also served in other various capacities within my district, which have included being a Teacher Coach/Cadre, Intervention Consultant, Grade-Level Coordinator, and Mentor Teacher. Recently, I have been collaborating with a local university as a Literacy Consultant/Specialist and now I'm serving as an Assistant Principal in my district.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that teachers have the unique opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of children...so make EVERY DAY count! I believe all students can and will succeed in a well-organized, “happy” classroom in which the teacher is positive, encouraging, motivating, and has high (yet reasonable) expectations. I believe all students learn in different ways and it is our job to find what works best! Using a variety of instructional methods and strategies is essential in taking students from where they are to where they need to go…and BEYOND! It is my hope that my TpT materials will help you along the way as you make a difference with the students within your influence!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In recent years, I have been recognized as the Primary and District PTA "Teacher of the Year" and nominated for the All-County Teaching Team.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am specialized and licensed as a Principal (K-6), Administrative Specialist in Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development as well as in the area of Early Childhood Education (PreK-3). I also hold a Reading Endorsement (K-12).

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Thank you so much for taking the time to take a peek at my TpT materials. I sincerely hope that you find them helpful for you and your students!
