Teaching has taken me from Pennsylvania to New Jersey to Maui, Hawaii and back to New Jersey. I have experience various communities from some of the most affluent to one of the the poorest cities in the United States. Throughout my career, I have taken on various roles and hats, beginning as a teacher in a self-contained classroom, onto inclusion, switching to regular education in 4th grade, and landing back in an inclusion 5th grade classroom. Being fortunate with this kaleidoscope of roles, I continue to learn and grow using the information I carry with me.
Standards-based with my own twist. Developing engaging lessons to connect to each student is important in my classroom. Continuous assessment in order to tailor and mold content so that students absorb information to carry with them once they move on. I love creating fun, thought-provoking activities to pair with each unit, and strive to connect with individual learning styles.

I grew up in Haddonfield, NJ, and attended public school from kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating high school, I dually majored in elementary and special education at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA.
I am a single mom and travel enthusiast. Seeking out and immersing myself in new experiences is thrilling and renew my soul. My heart belongs to an adorable (I know I'm partial) two year old (soon to be three) energetic and sweet boy. I love watching him take on his little life, and build upon his little world.
