I have mostly taught in the upper elementary grades and have taught both in the regular classroom and as a pullout teacher for gifted and talented elementary students. I have a certification in gifted education and am currently finishing up my Masters degree in gifted education. I live in West Virginia and am currently a full-time homeschooling mommy to my two babies, after several years in the classroom.
I believe that students learn best when they take control of their own learning using fun, hands-on, inquiry-based units and activities. Student choice is a huge motivator in any classroom setting, but especially in the gifted and talented classroom. My goal is to create resources that will challenge all students to stretch their minds using creative and critical thinking skills and to develop their talents and interests.
