I taught 3rd-6th grade resource in a high poverty school district. Since graduating ASU in 2014 I have taught a 7/8th grade combo applied learning (self-contained) special education class at an IB school within my district. I have also presented at a local universities STEM Camp the last 2 summers.
My teaching style is based in growth mindset theory. Vygotsky's learning theory of Zone of Proximal Distance really resonates with me and I try to scaffold my students learning.
