By The Early Learning Place Hi! I’m Megan and the creator of The Early Learning Place! My passion in life is helping students learn to read and to find the joy in unlocking the English language! I love helping early learners find confidence in reading! I'm a licensed Reading Specialist, Orton-Gillingham trained, and experienced teacher with a passion for providing quality reading instruction to all learners. I provide 1:1 online tutoring and literacy interventions tailored to each of my students that build confidence and a love for reading! I love creating resources for my learners that can easily be used in a virtual setting and hope others can find value in them as well!
My online lessons are based on the Orton-Gillingham approach and are individualized, multi-sensory, engaging, and FUN! Every child can succeed in reading when provided the tools!

I have a Master of Arts as a Reading Specialist and bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Human Development & Family Studies. With over 10 years of experience in education, I have been a classroom teacher, a literacy and math interventionist, and I have developed an early learning program for a nonprofit. I love to learn! My training focuses on Orton-Gillingham, the Science of Reading, English as a Second Language, and Structured Literacy. I have extensive education in online instruction and am a Google Certified Teacher.
