TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Two years teaching Social Studies Education at the Secondary Level. While only 2 years in the classroom, both years have been working in high poverty schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Fluid, student-based, realistic and high expectations, and oriented in a way that all learning helps to create a stronger, more informed modern human being!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

198/200 on Social Studies Praxis! (Ask me for tips on how to study if you need to! I'm happy to offer any help I can, even if it's not much!)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.S of Liberal Studies from EOU -- Over 230 Undergraduate Hours in essentially every humanities-based field including History, Philosophy, Political Science, Ethics, Anthropology, Sociology, and Psychology! M.A in Secondary Social Studies Education (Over 30 Graduate hours in Social Studies Content and Pedagogy) (Future Academic Pursuits...) -- Neuroscience, History, Philosophy, and/or... ???

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live by the motto "keep an open mind, but not so open your brains fall out." I'm fascinated by essentially anything that has to do with the human condition. I consider myself a humanist and a secular Buddhist! Not sure if it's possible to give myself and further pretentious descriptors than that -- but it is true! haha.
