MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a true believer that ALL students can learn. My lessons take into consideration students' varying levels and interests, while covering material aligned to state standards. A typical day in my classroom might include a mini-lesson, then time for independent practice or a cooperative learning experience. I am a huge fan of the close reading process and have enjoyed seeing it have great success with both lower and high achieving learners. I have a great sense of humor and try to incorporate pop culture references when possible and appropriate to keep students interested and engaged!
