I graduated with a dual certification in elementary education K-5 and special education P-12 in 2010. I received my Master's in Instructional Leadership in 2013 and my Rank I in Director of Special Education in 2015. I currently teach 5th grade reading and writing and I serve as the school Response to Intervention Coordinator. I have worked with all grade levels for intervention, as well as had a caseload of students for special education. I also serve on the District Leadership Team, School Leadership Team, Climate and High Expectation Correlate, SBDM Council, PGES 50/50 Committee, and many other leadership roles for the district.
I love my students. Each year is a new challenge and I love learning new things. I tell my students that I learn more from them than I ever dreamed about learning in college. Every child is different, and as a teacher, I have to learn to meet their needs. I strive to challenge my students to their fullest potential and teach them that there is no option of giving up!
