TEACHING EXPERIENCE

A mum of 3 in Australia with over 30 years hands on experience in the early childhood and community services professions. Roles have included Assistant in early learning centres, room leader, Director, Family Day Care Educator, business owner and Coordinator, In Home Care Coordinator, Outside School Hours Care Coordinator, Family Support Services Manager, Child Caseworker and many more! Have helped support thousands of early years educators with planning, programming, documentation, EYLF & EYFS and play based learning activities, outcomes and experiences through my popular blog posts, online training and digital resources at theempowerededucatoronline.com since 2010.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in planning for and providing children with play based learning experiences that are not only fun but also allow children to become active participants in their own learning. I have a passion for outdoor play, reggio based environments and experiences and using recycled, natural and open ended materials. I believe that everyone learns differently and sometimes we just need to go back to basics - this includes Educators so my resources are always easy to understand, use and learn from.
