TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school English classes, including AP Language and Composition, for six years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe the key to a successful classroom rests on engaging content and meaningful assignments, and that we best serve our students as facilitators of their learning rather than as distributors of knowledge and worksheets. My mission is to reflect this philosophy in all of my products.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received the "You Make a Difference" Award in my school; I presented a session on writing strategies at the Illinois New Teacher Collaborative Conference in 2017; I was an AP Exam Reader in 2018

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.A. in English from Eastern Illinois University, 2013, and I am currently working on M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, which I will finish in 2019!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in a small rural town with my husband and our dogs. When I'm not teaching, working on graduate school projects, or working on my TPT store, I enjoy drinking warm beverages and watching Netflix.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
