TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught English Language Arts for more than five years at both the middle and high school level. I've prided myself on teaching differentiated classrooms and raising the motivational level of my students to give them the self-confidence needed to excel beyond my classroom's four walls.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've found that many of my male students shy away from reading and writing, either because of a lack of confidence or from preconceived notions that they might have about language arts. I strive to use unorthodox/contemporary authors like Tupac Shakur, Jay Z, Lena Dunham, etc. to engage my students and show them how freeing and open English Language Arts can be.
