TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have just completed my first year of teaching! For my first year, I taught English 9, 10, 11, and 12. In December of 2016, I graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan with a teaching degree in both English and Spanish.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I realize that all students learn in different ways and at different paces. In order to reach the most students possible, I like to offer choices and do a variety of activities that require students to get out of their seats, use technology, write, read, discuss, collaborate, and tap into their artistic sides. I often assign projects as ways to assess student knowledge/growth, in place of the traditional test. Overall, I would say that my style is very student centered.
