I made these signs to go up on my learning wall with big poster signs that I make during lessons. I kept having flip chart posters that were up for a day and that was it. So now I have a better place to display them for the duration of that learning

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching primary now for 5 years. I have taught from 5-12 years olds but now happily settled with 8 year olds for the time being. I teach in Scotland but very interested in the teaching styles and approaches in other countries also. I am studying my masters in Education and also in the process of gaining professional recognition for my ICT development.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a fun and creative teacher. Whilst I do think there is value in textbooks and it is a skill in itself...the majority of the learning my kids experience is much more active, fun or at least a bit unusual.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Ongoing - Masters in Education, Professional Recognition in ICT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I came to teaching when I was 25. I initially did a BSc in Ophthalmic Dispensing. I did enjoy this at the time but my heart brought me back to teaching and I'm so glad it did.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I would really love to exchange more ideas and knowledge with a teacher(s) in America and compare to education in Scotland.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
