TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! I have recently graduated as a licensed teacher specializing in Early Childhood Education from Columbia College Chicago! I have student taught full time in both a preschool and kindergarten classroom. I am now a lead teacher in a preschool classroom and am loving it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy integrating the arts in my classrooms whenever possible. Coming from a college that focused on the Reggio-Emilia approach to learning, I developed strong ideals that place importance on process rather than product. My classroom is a safe learning environment where mistakes are treasured as learning experiences and a brave attempt at something new.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was on Columbia's Dean's List for most of my college career.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Early Childhood Education as well as becoming a licensed teacher for Birth-3rd grade.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a background in animation and decided to put my love of drawing to use by designing my own worksheets, anchor charts, and other activities while student teaching in kindergarten. Now, I have decided to take it a step further and share all of these things with fellow teachers!
