TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at the middle school level for the last 15 years. I have taught 8th grade science, 6th - 8th grade Technology, 6th - 8th grade STEM, 7th and 8th Academic Strategies and Online Credit Recovery Courses. I have also led Student Council/Leadership groups for several years. I have worked with Student Council and Leadership as a class during the day and as an after school club. Additionally I have coached multiple First LEGO League teams over the last six years. I am a Site Technology Coordinator and Department Chair for our school. When the Nevada State Middle School Technology was created, I was one of the authors of the curriculum published. Additional training and certifications include SMART Certified Trainer, GEMS Associate and TESOL endorsed.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The teaching style I utilize is Constructivist. I enjoy facilitating my students journey of discovery as I differentiate for success for all students in my class.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My family consists of five amazing kids and an awesome husband! We love to camp, hike, kayak and fly fish together. I also love photography, scrapbooking, art journaling and reading.
