TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Among the 25 years I've in education I have taught 1st grade and 2nd grade. I spent a year as a high school counselor, was an elementary counselor in the past, went BACK to classroom teaching for 9 years and am currently in my dream job of being a counselor again.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I guide lessons, group counseling, and individual counseling with a kind and compassionate heart. Empathy and understanding is my goal when I work with children. I also work to dismantle and deconstruct systems of oppression and systemic racism through my work with children, families, and the community. My instruction and counseling is trauma informed.
