TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 16 years. I have taught middle and high school. My passion is creating curriculum and keeping it fresh year after year.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in using active student engagement strategies and technology as much as I possibly can. I think we need to teach students how to unleash the academic potential of the personal computers, called cell phones, in their pockets!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am currently the department chair person for my school and a member of the Leadership Team. As such, I am also a member of of Educational Summit for our district. As a part of my former school's English department I was nominated for the Jack London award.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up and received my early education in the El Dorado County Unified School District in South Lake Tahoe. I attended Sonoma State University and received my undergrad and post graduate degrees.
