I am certified in 7-12 Language Arts and K-6 Elementary Education in the state of Tennessee. For four years, I have been teaching fourth grade math in a departmentalized setting.
I love using math "tricks" and mnemonic devices to help make complicated processes a bit easier. Kids love to sing, dance, rap, and play; so I incorporate these practices as much as possible. I often use powerpoints as a jumping off point and guide for my lessons. They help keep me focused and the kids entertained.

I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a BS degree in English and then went back to APSU for my teaching certification in Language Arts. I also received an additional endorsement in K-6 education because I wanted to teach all the subjects (not just English). Ironically, I now teach just math and love it :)
I love penguins, polka dots, and happy kids!
