I have been teaching high school social studies for 12 years. My primary course has been Advanced Placement Psychology; however, I also have a passion for American and European histories and how they have impacted the developing world.
Throughout my teaching career, I have always strived to be innovative; this includes being a leader in standards-based grading and instruction, incorporating literacy within my daily lessons, and integrating the C3 framework into my curriculum. I strive to make my lessons personable and relevant to my students.

In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife to my husband, TJ, who works in K-12 special education and is an athletic coach. I am a mom to my inquisitive 8-year-old daughter; she keeps me on my toes more than my students ever will.
