I am a third year full time teacher, currently teaching 5th grade at KSDA in Kirkland WA. Prior to this I taught both 5th and 6th grade in Armona, CA for a single year, unfortunately the heat was a bit much for me. And before that, I taught as a long term Special Education substitute at Glacier High school in Kalispell, MT. Throughout this experience I also volunteered with coaching a variety of sports, and after school activities. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in History, history being my true passion, which is shown in my lessons and teaching style.
My teaching style revolves around my own experience, and opinion that there are not enough strong male role models in education. I am a very active teacher; we don’t sit still for longer than 20 minutes at a time, participating in a variety of physical challenges throughout the year. I work hard to develop critical thinking in my students, using their own personal interests to drive their education, through research papers, essays and presentation. I make sure that students learn the importance of discussing disagreements, and the value and importance of having differing opinions. I continue to put a special focus on organizations, writing, and taking pride in your work.

Graduated in 2013 from Walla Walla University with a BA in History and a BS in Elementary Education.
I am a 28 year old male middle school teacher, with a love for history, sports and a great book! I grew up in Montana with all the trimmings, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and being raised by nature as much as my family. I take great pride in being a gentleman, and I have a strong personal belief that there is a serious lack of etiquette among the youth. P.S. I am new to this to any advice is appreciated.
