I have been a physical therapist for 27 years. Most of my career I spent working in schools and facilities for children. I have also taught at the college level. I have been writing since I was four and love being able to write full time now. The Goat on a Mission series deals with whimsy (Sir William is a Mary Poppins type who drops when kids need him) and adventure. In all of the books the children face real issues, such as grieving and loss, bullies, feeling like a "left over" kid in blended families. In all of the books scientific, biological, animal. and geographic information is presented in a fun, subtle way. At the end of each book are discussion topics. They are illustrated and free newsletters encouraging reading comprehension are available.
Varies according to students age and abilities. I always brought in practical activities and games to educate, encourage, and strengthen confidence and learning.

B.S. in physical therapy from St. Louis University. Many courses and seminars on literature and writing.
I live in St Louis with my husband, 3 cats and a dog with silly short legs (although she doesn't think they are silly at all.) I am a mother of two and grandmother of 3. All of these children are brilliant. Of course.
