TEACHING EXPERIENCE

We are graduate teachers from Melbourne University who have taken our first teaching job at a remote school in the Northern Territory with all indigenous enrollments. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to team teach this year in a grade 7 and 8 classroom with a gorgeous bunch of 28 young adults.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Our classroom is a safe place where students learn to take responsibility for their own learning and be proud of their successes, both great and small. The students in our class have a wide range of ability levels, so our literacy and numeracy blocks consist of both whole class instruction and differentiated group work. Our maths and literacy rotations allow for students to access ICT, hands-on individual and group activities and targeted teacher support daily.
