TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a second year teacher in Australia. I spent last year teaching year 5, and next year I am heading to year 1. I have experience teaching all years, including special education whilst I was a relief teacher (or substitute teacher), as well as spending extended periods of time across all age levels on my university pracs. I have spent time preparing my year 5 class for Wakairri, an Australian story competition, preparing students for NAPLAN, as well as experience supporting students with a diverse range of learning needs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a dedicated teacher in providing quality education to students. I believe in differentiating my teaching to meet all the individual needs of students, as well as providing appropriate extension opportunities. I enjoy a hands on, interactive approach to teaching with multiple opportunities for students to interact with their peers during the learning process. I ensure I provide my students with a unique, engaging and relatable learning experience, where students can apply lessons learnt in my classroom to their own contexts.
