TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for five years in Cleveland, OH as an ESL Teacher, and a Title One Reading Teacher. I am also the Coordinator of our Response to Intervention Program.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a big believer in the hierarchy of needs. I believe in taking care of a student's emotional needs and then moving to learning. I believe in making their work relevant to them so that it is engaging. I am goofy to hold their attention but not goofy enough to distract them from their purpose.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have twice been nominated for Concept Schools Teacher of the Year Award. While serving in the United States Army, I received the General Creighton W. Abrams Award of Excellence in Basic Combat Training, the SGT John C. Kohn Soldier of the Year Award while with the 305th Psychological Operations Company, The Distinguished Honor Graduate Award in H8 Vehicle Recovery School, and The High PT Score with in Advanced Individual Training.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's Degree from Liberty University in Teaching English as a Second Language with minors is Spanish and Youth Ministry.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a dedicated husband and father. My wife and I have two boys. One is 3 years old and one is 2. We are expecting our third child in June. I am also a triathlete and marathoner.
