TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Special Education teacher with over 10 years experience teaching math and reading to all grade levels. I spent four of those years also teaching reading intervention classes to groups of students in 1st-4th grade. Teaching reading is my passion!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe a good foundation in basic reading skills is essential! I enjoy incorporating fun with the lessons. That is why I enjoy developing all types of games to go along with my lessons.

I graduated from Texas State University in 2001. I am certified to teach students in grades 1-8. I have additional certifications in Reading, Special Education, and ESL.

I am the mother of 2 amazing daughters who are both grown. I have also been blessed with 2 gorgeous grandchildren who have stolen their Nana's heart. When I'm not creating teaching activities for the students I tutor. I enjoy hiking, biking, reading, and anything outdoors.
