This is my fourth year teaching in special education, and my second in a self-contained classroom. Previously, I taught kindergarten - 6th grade in a resource room setting, and prior to that I worked as a paraeducator in both general education and a self-contained special education classroom.
In my classroom, students work in whole groups, small groups, and individually. With some small (and large) tweaks, all activities can benefit students individually. In my classroom, we work on your everyday academics such as reading, math, writing, and science, as well as prosocial skills as a group in the morning and throughout the day during teachable moments.

I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I proudly graduated with my sister in May of 2014 with dual degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jared, who is in the Army. We are currently stationed in Washington state, but New Mexico will always be our home. We have two furbabies, Koopa and Princess Peach, and a baby on the way.
