TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently teaching Graphic Design to 10th - 12th grade students in Baltimore City Public Schools. Prior to this school year, I taught Visual Arts to grades K-11 in Baltimore City Public Schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Reading, math, and history are a part of each of my Art lessons. This type of interdisciplinary curriculum helps students learn, apply, and develop skills like measuring and reading comprehension and so many other critical thinking skills. Art is a way to inspire, motivate, and engage students in school.

Before entering the classroom, I was the Creative Director at a political consulting firm in Maryland. I left that position to enhance the lives and educations of inner-city youth through strong interdisciplinary arts curricula.
