TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 7th year of teaching. My first two years were at a charter school in NYC where my main goal was exploring and implementing a variety of pedagogical practices. I am currently an educator in a public school. I found, over time, that my Bachelors in English helped me identify WHAT I would be teaching. My masters in Literacy 5-12 is where I learned HOW to teach it. That exploration is ongoing.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach literature using reading strategies. I also utilize both reading and writing workshop models.
