I currently work in a special education school for kids who have been diagnosed with specific learning and behavioral disorders. I have been a teacher for about 5 years at my current school. Before becoming a teacher, I was a director at a before and after care program, and worked as a preschool teacher.
As a special education teacher we must teach with love, understanding, kindness, and persistence.
It is my honor to teach the children that do not fall in line with their typical peers. Children who differences are sometimes seen as odd.. I find amazing and unique, so it is my honor to teach them.

I love teaching and everything that it brings to my life. I enjoy laughing and playing everyday. Even when the hard days arrive there are always good days and moments that make me laugh and remind me why I chose to be a Special Education Teacher.
