I like to use this activity after reading Act 3 of Hamlet; at that point, you know enough about the characters to do a really nice, thorough analysis! I pair this with a TED video about why we dream (see link below). After having each student write

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello all! I have spent three years in a ninth grade classroom (both intervention and college prep), two years in a 12 grade blended classroom, three years working with students who are reading significantly below grade level, and I am about to start a brand new adventure teaching 8th graders! So if you need it, I probably have it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that if you present your content in practical, real life ways and allow your students to embrace their creativity, they will actually want to do their work!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hello you lovely little starfish! My name is Rachel Hackney and I am about to enter my third year of teaching. I've taught almost every secondary grade level so, if you need it, I've probably got it. I prefer to use nontraditional methods to trick my students into learning. If you like to bring creativity and a touch of quirkiness into your classroom, this is the shop for you!
