TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught Creative Writing, Study Skills, Computer Skills, and Research Techniques at the high school level before choosing to return to graduate school and get my Master's in Library Science. My mother was a high school English teacher for 40 years, and my father was an Elementary Physical Education teacher. For the last 8 years of my mother's career, I designed the majority of her curriculum with her input. I am now a public library director, and I enjoy creating resources for teachers.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a part-time artist, and I work in 2-D and textiles. I love to paint, and I am working on a graphic novel about my grandparents. There's never enough time in the day to do my art, but I love my "day job." I also love to cook and bake, especially cupcakes. I lived in Jordan for three years, where I was a certified mosaic reconstructionist/restorationist. I love to read (of course) and travel.
