Graduated from Valdosta High School in 2000, Valdosta State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education (4-8) and minor in African American Studies University of Phoenix in 2009 with a MSEd in Curriculum and Instruction K-12 Reading Endorsement from Valdosta State University in 2011 Gifted Endorsement through Northwest Georgia RESA in 2013 and Walden University in 2014 with a EdS in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in 2014. Content areas are math and social science.
