The MBA

I have my English BA and MBA. I was an accountant for nearly a decade. Not only do I teach, I also own a private in-home tutoring business.

As the top in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar, I have worked with students of all ages and grade levels in one of the most academically competitive areas in the country.

I'm a talker. I start out talking a lot because the subjects I teach are my passion. I love sharing my real-world experience with the students and encourage questions throughout the lesson. Not only do I want them to learn information from the text but also from my experience as well. I have an informal class setting because I want to have a conversation.

If I must give tests-- All my tests are open book, because it is not about memorization. It is about understanding and applying.

I love big projects, because that gives me and the students an opportunity to apply what they have learned (without losing money!)
