TEACHING EXPERIENCE

October 2011-Present- Lead Speech Therapist. Speech Therapist of the Year 2014 - Provided evaluation and treatment of Fluency, Articulation, Dysphagia, Oral Motor, and Language Disorders in the pediatric home health setting - Provided supervision of 4 Speech Therapy Assistants and mentorship of 7 graduate students - Collaborated with therapists, caregivers, and physicians to determine an appropriate plan of care for patients August 2010-June 2012- School District. - Provided evaluation and treatment of various types of communication disorders, including Language Impairment, Articulation Disorders, Apraxia, and Fluency Disorders for children in 6th-8th grade. - Provided In-home and Parent training to students in the school district in order to improve functional communication in the home.

I am a pediatric home health therapist, a wife, and a mother with a thirst for knowledge about the growing speech therapy field. I look for creative and engaging ways to reinforce a variety of skills in a single therapy sessions. Not only do I love to learn, but I also love to teach and mentor other therapists about ways to make therapy fun for them and their clients.
