TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I dual majored in Elementary Education and English in college, and am certified to teach K-12. I have been an educator for 10 years. Specifically, I have taught 7th grade for all 10 of those years, and for four of those years I also taught 5th, 6th, and 8th grade Language Arts. I also have taught courses on Morality and Literature to 8th graders. Currently, I teach 7th grade Language Arts students. I am the advisor of our school's newspaper and soccer coach.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in a true, 100% student-centered classroom. My students should always be working harder than me in my class. My students aren't just receiving knowledge, but must be active participants in their learning. I am a huge fan of PBL (Problem/Project Based Learning) and have been in the process of incorporating more in my class.
